Samantha Gamboa is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in Texas under the supervision of Elizabeth Clark, MA, LPC-S. Samantha graduated from West Texas A&M University with her Bachelor’s of applied arts and sciences with a focus on behavioral health and earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University.
Samantha has experience working with clients of all ages in individual, family, and group settings utilizing a trauma informed approach. She is trained in EMDR, a form of psychotherapy that helps her clients heal from the symptoms of trauma and distress. In her work with children Samantha also utilizes her training in play therapy. Her approach is client centered and integrates therapeutic interventions according to individual client needs. She is especially skilled in facilitating EMDR with children and teens.
Samantha is passionate about providing a safe, judgment free space for her clients to process through the issues that led them to counseling. It is her goal to utilize evidence-based best practices and create healthy therapeutic relationships.
