Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is one of the more well-known modes of therapy. It promotes the idea that we can gain control of our feelings and actions if we are able to access and change our unhealthy patterns of thinking. CBT promotes self-awareness by connecting triggers, beliefs, emotions, and actions. Life experiences (especially early or traumatic ones) impact our worldview– the way we see ourselves, others, and the world. We see future experiences through the lens of this worldview. CBT helps “rewrite” our worldview so we can live the best life possible.
